Rodney E. Wilcox

Rodney E. Wilcox, age 84 years, of Three Bridges, Readington Township, NJ, died on Thursday, August 30, 2007 in the Hospice Unit of Muhlenburg Medical Center, Plainfield, NJ.

Born in Reaville, NJ, March 2, 1923, son of the late Seward and Bertha Swarer Wilcox, he had resided in Three Bridges all his life.

A 1940 graduate of Flemington High School, Flemington, NJ, he was formerly Parts Manager for Poniatowski Bros. Company, Flemington, NJ, retiring eighteen years ago.

A United States Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II, Mr. Wilcox served in India, Burma and China.

He was a member of Darcy Lodge #37 F. & A. M., Frenchtown, NJ; Past Patron of Darcy Chapter #138, O.E.S. of Flemington, NJ; member of the Cresent Temple Shrine, Trenton, NJ; and was a member of the Reaville Presbyterian Church, Reaville, NJ.

His wife, Anne Williams Wilcox, died in 2002 and a brother Earl Wilcox, died earlier this year.

Surviving are three sons, Carson Wilcox of Palm Harbor, FL, Melvyn Wilcox of Pensacoloa, FL and Larry Wilcox of South Painfield, NJ; two grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Reaville, NJ.
