Roman Groch, age 80 years, of Kingwood Township, NJ, died on Saturday, August 7, 2004 at his residence.

Born in Jaroslaw, Poland, October 14, 1923, son of the late Jan and Agnieszka Procia Groch, he emigrated first to Holland, then to the United States.

A resident of Kingwood Township for over forty years, he was a bricklayer and ceramic tile installer, retiring in 1988.

Mr. Groch served with the Polish forces under British command during World War II. He was a member of Local #1 of the Bricklayers Union, Washington, NJ and was a member of the Flemington American Legion Post #159.

Surviving are his wife, Anna Lameyn Groch; a daughter, Nisha Littel of Flemington, NJ; a son, John Groch of Frenchtown, NJ; a brother, Stanley Groch of Poland; three sisters, Bronia Lichtarska and Maria Groch, both of Poland and Stephanie Groch in Russia; and three grandchildren, Bryan Littel, Adrian Littel and Mina Littel.

A Mass of Christian Burial held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Chapel, Doyelstown, PA. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, Doyelstown, PA. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Please visit www.holcombefisher.com for further information.
