Rose Piedmont Franklin, age 86 years, of Flemington, NJ, died on Sunday, May 27, 2007 at her daughter's residence in Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Pittston, PA, October 3, 1920, daughter of the late Dominick and Carmela Traglia Piedmont, she had resided in Flemington for the past nine years having previously lived most of her life in Raritan, NJ.
A Communicant of St. Magdalen Church, Flemington, NJ, Mrs. Franklin was formerly a Presser in the Garment Industry for over twenty-five years.
Her husband, Albert Franklin, whom she married on March 30, 1940 in Pittston, PA, died in 1982. She was also pre-deceased by two sisters, Josephine Piedmont Korsko and Ann Piedmont Pugliesie.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Cathy Franklin of Moseley, VA and Tom and Sandy Franklin of Pompano Beach, FL; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rosemarie and Tom Seibel of Lake Hiawatha, NJ and Mary Ann and Chuck Nelson of Raritan Township, NJ; twelve grandchildren, Pat and wife Amy Franklin, David, Brian, Tim, Meghan and Kelsey Franklin, Kelly and husband Vinnie Manna, Jamie and wife Kelly Seibel, Kerry and husband Jason Kuber, and Sean, Casey and Ryan Nelson; seven great grandchildren, Ashleigh, Bailey and Anthony Manna, Riley Franklin, and Tyler, Emily and Patrick Seibel; and three siblings, Jakie Piedmont, Theresa Zaffuto and Pat Piedmont, all of Pittston, PA.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Raritan, NJ. Calling hours will be held from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
