Rose Yukob

Rose Yukob, age 81 years, died Thursday, March 7, 2019 at her home in Raritan Township NJ, where she lived since 2001. Born October 2, 1937, Rose was the daughter of the late Francis and Rose (Puntasecca) Adelgais. She was raised in the Saddle Brook area and raised her family in Green Brook. She moved to Middlesex Borough from 1983 until moving to Raritan Township. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts from Seton Hall University, Rose began working as a 3rd grade and Latin teacher, and eventually worked for AT&T-Bell Labs in Public Relations for more than twenty years. Rose was a volunteer at Hope House and Home Bound in Flemington, loved to exercise, and practice Tai Chi. She enjoyed all kinds of music, especially from Neil Diamond and Leonard Cohen. Her real passion was her seven grandchildren – visiting, cooking, and having many conversations were the highlights of her days. In addition to her parents, Rose was predeceased by her brother, Frank Adelgais, her sister, Linda Podymov in 2018 and by her sister, Catherine Mirabella on the very same day as her passing, March 7, 2019. She is survived by her son, Bob Yukob of Toms River NJ, her daughters, Donna Gregory of Clinton NJ, and Suzanne Planer of Kingwood Township NJ, as well as her seven grandchildren, Daniel Yukob, Matthew, Peter, Christopher and Emma Gregory, Dylan and Nicole Planer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, March 11, 2019 at St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington NJ. Interment will be private in Immaculate Conception Mausoleum at a later date. Calling hours will be from 1:00 to 4:00 pm on Sunday at the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington NJ.
