Roxanne K. Carkhuff, age 80 years, of Ringoes, NJ (West Amwell Township), died Thursday, August 10 ,2017, at Spring Village at Floral Vale, Yardley, PA.
Born in Hopewell, NJ, May 29, 1937, daughter of the late Edward and Winifred Fritz Kenney, she had resided in West Amwell Township since 1968.
Roxanne was a graduate of Ewing High School and of Rider College
She was formerly an administrative assistant with Stony Brook Watershed Association, Pennington, NJ and later was Executive Director of the Hunterdon County Historical Society for many years until retiring.
Roxanne was a member of the Genealogical Society of New Jersey and was editor of its newsletter for thirty years. She was also a member of the Hunterdon County Historical Society and the Holcombe-Jimison Farmstead, Lambertville, NJ.
Surviving are her husband of fifty-nine years, George E. Carkhuff; a daughter and son-in-law, Colleen and Charles Conrad of Titusville, NJ; and several nieces and nephews.
A Committal Service will be held at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA, Friday, August 25, 2017, at 11:00 AM. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
