Russell T. Wilson

Russell T. Wilson, age 85 years, of Readington Township, NJ, died Monday, May 31, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Middlesex, NJ, May 3, 1936, son of the late Russell Walter and Evelyn Haig Wilson, he had formerly resided in Edison, NJ.

A friend of Bill W. for forty-one years, Russell worked in the Local 9 Pipefitters Union for thirty-five years before retiring and opening Wilson’s Nursery. He enjoyed farming, masonry, woodworking, and cement making.

He is pre-deceased by his sister Gail Hansen in 2019 and his granddaughter Tasha Phillips in 2015.

Surviving are his wife Maureen Merrigan Wilson; his children, Robyn Weaver and her husband, William of Bangor, PA, Bonnie Eagle and her companion Richard Trapp of Mt. Bethel Pa, Donna Wilson of Freemansburg, Pa, and Yvonne Roseberry and husband, Bill of White Township, NJ; grandchildren, Jamie Rivera, Jenessa Weaver, Lauren Eagle, and Amber Eagle and David McAndrew; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Connie Wilson of Florida and one brother, Gary Wilson of Edison, NJ.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 7, 2021, from 3:00-6:00 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. A funeral service will follow Monday, June 7, 2021, at 6:00 PM in the funeral home. A private burial will take place at a later date.
