Ruth A. Bugyi, age 81, of Franklin Township NJ, died Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at her home.
Born June 23, 1939, in Plattsburgh NY, Ruth was the daughter of the late Richard and Ruth (Blaise) Bolton. She grew up in the small town of Port Kent NY and graduated from Keeseville (NY) High School. She met her future husband, the late Martin Bugyi, while he was stationed at Plattsburgh Air Force Base and after their marriage, the two moved to the Hunterdon County area, where she lived the remainder of her life.
Ruth worked for a few years for Agricultural Extension Services in Flemington, and eventually she became an antiques and collectibles collector and vendor at the Golden Nugget Flea Market in Lambertville NJ for more than 20 years. Among her specialties of collectibles, she was known for her selections of cook-books and related items.
When not travelling to various garage and estate sales, Ruth loved to read a good novel, particularly ones that were centered in historical fiction.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was predeceased by her brother, James Bolton, her husband, Martin S. Bugyi in 2019, and her daughter, Brenda Worthington in 2020. She is survived by her two sons, Mark S. Bugyi of Little Egg Harbor NJ, and Martin P. Bugyi of Tobyhanna PA, her six grandchildren, Malinda, Laura, Jonathan, Katrina, Daniel and Christopher, as well as her sister, Donna Florez of West Valley City UT, and John Bolton of Peru NY.
Cremation services are private and under the direction of Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington NJ.
