Ruth A. Conord

Ruth A. Conord, age 80 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died Thursday, March 18, 2004 at her residence.

Born June 22, 1923 in Somerville, NJ to the late John and Carri Mingle Wheeler, she had resided in Raritan Township, NJ for the past fifteen years, previously residing in Martinsville, NJ.

She was retired from Ciba-Geigy Pharmacutical Company, Somerset, NJ. Mrs. Conord was very active in both the Flemington-Raritan Seniors and the East Amwell Seniors, where she served as activities chairman. Among the various events she helped to organize and run, she is especially remembered for teaching a senior exercise class as well as organizing the Chrismas shows each year.

Mrs. Conord is survived by her husband of 58 years, Leon R. Conord; a son and daughter-in-law, Bruce L. and Doris Conord of Frenchtown, NJ; a daughter, Carol M. Conord of Kingwood Township, NJ; five grandchildren, Michele Pandy of Kingwood Township, NJ, Lisa Conord of Three Bridges, NJ, Michael Conord of Frenchtown, NJ, Jenyfer Guethe of Kingwood Township, NJ and Patrick Guethe of Kingwood Township, NJ; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ (please call or visit www.holcombefisher.com for further information). Interment will follow in Neshanic Cemetery, Neshanic, NJ.
