Ruth A. Melbourn

Ruth A. Melbourn, age 96 years, of Ringoes, NJ, died Tuesday, November 22, 2016, at her home. Born in Ringoes, NJ, November 9, 1920, daughter of the late George and Harrietta Brewer Bateman, she had resided in Ringoes all her life. Ruth was a 1938 graduate of Flemington High School and was employed by Somerset Savings and Loan, Flemington, NJ, until retiring. Ruth was a lifelong member of the Kirkpatrick Memorial Presbyterian Church, Ringoes, NJ and was active in the Ladies Guild of the church. Her husband, Ralph M. Melbourn, Jr., died in 1944 and she was also pre-deceased by her two sisters, Mildred Lambert in 2010 and Grace Cronce in 2016. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Ralph and Paula Melbourn of Ringoes, NJ; five grandchildren, Cheryll Weller, Danielle Wells, Ralph Melbourn IV, Shawn Wilson and Kimberly Czajka; and six great grandchildren, Layne Weller, Sydney Weller, Chase Wells, Mia Wilson, Abigail Wilson and Amelia Melbourn. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 26, 2016, at 11:00 AM in the Kirkpatrick Memorial Presbyterian Church, John Ringo Road, Ringoes, NJ, with Rev. Michael Atzert officiating. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Ringoes, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home ,147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
