Ruth C. Hughes

Ruth C. Hughes, age 81 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Wednesday, February 1, 2006 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Hillside, NJ, March 20, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Florence Ash Wallraff. She had resided in Raritan Township since 2002, having previously lived in Arlington, TX, Somerville, NJ, Whitehouse, NJ and Hillside, NJ.

She originally worked as a Lab Technician for RCA, Harrison, NJ and went on to retire from RCA in Bridgewater, NJ in 1975.

Mrs. Hughes was a Brownie Girl Scout Leader in Somerville, NJ for many years. Additionally, she was a member of the Nifty Fifties Club at St. Vincent DePaul's Church, Arlington, TX.

Her husband of sixty-one years, Peter T. Hughes, died in 2005. She was also pre-deceased by a daughter, Danielle Nielsen in 2002 and a son-in-law, James Aversano in 2003.

Surviving are a daughter, Suzanne Aversano of Raritan Township, NJ; a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Ron Padinske of Tarpon Springs, FL; a son-in-law, Richard Nielsen of Arlington, TX; four grandchildren and their spouses, Tracy and Mark Sanders of Brooklyn Park, MN, Vicki and Garrett Nees of Arlington, TX, Michael and Karen Aversano of Raritan Township, NJ, and Rick and Kristin Padinske of Palm Harbor, FL; three great granddaughters, MacKenzie Nees, Amelia Aversano and Riley Sanders; and a great grandson, Benjamin Padinske.
