Ruth C. Iselin, age 84 years, of Flemington, NJ, died in peace Sunday, May 12, 2019.
Born in Ringoes, NJ, December 18, 1934, daughter of the late Edward and Frances Hanna Cornwell, Ruth was a lifelong resident of Hunterdon County.
A 1953 graduate of Flemington High School, she formerly was employed by Preservaline Corp, Flemington, and later was employed by Flemington Cut Glass Co., Flemington, where she became very knowledgeable about fine imported glassware and hand-cut crystal. As a teenager, she once served Eleanor Roosevelt at the Doric House Restaurant, Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
Ruth was a member of Calvary Episcopal Church, Flemington, for sixty-seven years and loved her family, home, dancing and traveling. She traveled to twenty-three countries and to many of the states here at home. She was beloved by many friends and always enjoyed socializing with people whatever the venue.
Surviving are her beloved husband of sixty years, Joseph Iselin; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn and Robert Ozimek of Flemington, NJ and Amy and Dave Chewey of Virginia Beach, VA.; four grandchildren, Abbey Ozimek, Kyle Ozimek, Breanna Chewey and Davis Chewey; and one great grandchild, Arianna Diaz.
Private family services will be held in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ, followed by burial in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. There will be no calling hours.
