Ruth Edna Beitz

Ruth Edna Beitz, age 69 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Monday, January 13, 2014, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Teaneck, NJ, November 17, 1944, daughter of Edna Mangold Berrian of Whiting, NJ and the late Guy Berrian, she had resided in Raritan Township since 1995, having formerly lived in Hillsborough, NJ.

A graduate of SUNY at Geneseo, she received her BA in Elementary Education. She worked for many years as a receptionist for Dr. John Greenberg, M.D. in Somerville, NJ.

Ruth was a faithful member of Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church of Amwell, Ringoes, NJ. She was an auxiliary member of The Gideons International; a former member of the Somerville Area Fish; a volunteer for Hunterdon Hospice; and was involved with several other organizations that gave back to the community.

Surviving are her devoted husband of forty-four years, Frank Jacob Beitz; a daughter, Christine Heather Beitz of Hamilton, NJ; a daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly Michelle (Beitz) Miller and Daniel Miller of Edison, NJ; a brother, David Berrian of Howell, NJ; and an aunt, Florence Mangold of Deptford, NJ.

In addition to her father, she was pre-deceased by a brother, Thomas Berrian.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church of Amwell, 24 US Highway 202, Ringoes, NJ 08551 under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Amwell Ridge Cemetery, Larison's Corner, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 9:00-11:00 a.m. in the church.
