Ruth G. Wurst

Ruth G. Wurst, age 94 years, of Spring City, PA., died Friday, May 3, 2019, in Phoenixville Hospital Hospice, Phoenixville, PA.

Born in Clinton Township, NJ, January 30, 1925, daughter of the late Johnson and Catherine Cole Gary, she had resided for many years in the Stanton, NJ area. She later resided in Mt. Pocono, PA., Stroudsburg, PA., Lincolnton, NC, and had resided in Spring City, PA. for three years.

Ruth was employed for many years by the American Lung Association where she served as Public Relations Director and Program Consultant.

Ruth was a member of the Stanton Reformed Church; the Stanton Grange and was a Past Matron of Darcy Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, Flemington, NJ.

Her husband, Archibald M. Wurst, died in 1992 and her brother, Roger Gary, also pre-deceased her.

Surviving are two sons, Robert A. Wurst of Spring City, PA. and Gary R. Wurst of Milford, NJ; a daughter, Carol Jo Sipley of Phillipsburg, NJ; ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at 11:00 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be Newell Cemetery, Stanton, NJ. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
