Ruth Galvin, a beloved figure to many, passed on September 25, 2024 in Flemington, New Jersey, at the age of 90. Born on June 20, 1934, in Trenton, New Jersey, Ruth lived a life marked by creativity, dedication, and a fierce sense of pride in who she was.

Ruth’s professional journey as a floral designer showcased her artistic talents and deep appreciation for nature. She was a certified graduate of the Benz School of Floral Design in Houston, Texas, and lent her skills as an FTD Master Floral Designer to various florist shops throughout New Jersey, including Flemington Floral. Her work brought joy and beauty into the lives of countless individuals.

Her educational pursuits were diverse, as she studied Home Economics at Western Maryland College and Modern Dance at Adelphi College in New York. This blend of arts and practical knowledge nurtured her creative spirit, which would continue to thrive throughout her life.

Family camping trips to the Adirondack Mountains, Maine, and Nova Scotia became cherished memories for Ruth, who loved sharing the beauty of the outdoors with her family. A passionate gardener and animal lover, she took immense joy in tending to her gardens and participating in cattle shows, forging a strong connection to nature. In her later years, she enjoyed watching programs such as The Incredible Dr. Pol and North Woods Law, a testament to her love for animals and the outdoors.

Ruth was married to Ronald P. Galvin for 68 wonderful years, and together they proudly established Rainbow Hill Farm on Rainbow Hill Road in Flemington, New Jersey. This farm, along with their beloved Highland Cattle and the beautiful log cabin built by Ronald in 1964, stood as a testament to their shared dreams and accomplishments.

Ruth's legacy is carried on by her loving family, which includes her son, Roy P. Galvin, and daughter-in-law, Tina Galvin; her daughter, Renee M. Christman, and son-in-law, Mark J. Christman; as well as her cherished grandchildren: Rebecca Galvin, Terra Brix, David Galvin, Rachel Christman, Leah Chavara, and Zachary Christman.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald P. Galvin; her father, Frank Merton Williamson; her mother, Ruth Salter Thomas; and her brother, Dereck Williamson.

Ruth Galvin will be remembered as a woman who lived life unapologetically, embracing her identity and passions with vigor. Her spirit and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
