Ruth H. Butler

Ruth H. Butler, age 89 years, of Clinton, NJ, died on Monday, November 17, 2008, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Newark, NJ, July 2, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. and Lenora Sutton Haley. She had formerly resided in Summit, NJ.

She was a homemaker, and an avid bridge player and knitter.

She was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church, Annandale, NJ, and the North Hunterdon Seniors, Bunnvale, NJ.

Her husband, Patrick Butler, died in 2001. Surviving are three sons; Robert E. Butler of Boca Raton, FL, William T. Butler of Clinton, NJ, and Gerald P. Butler of Clinton Township, NJ; a daughter, Gail P. Hoover of Hudson, NH; two brothers, William of Florham Park, NJ, and Robert of Brick, NJ; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 AM in Immaculate Conception Church, Old Allerton Road, Annandale, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private. There will be no calling hours.
