Salvatore I. Tuccillo, age 91 years, died Saturday, October 11, 2014, at Independence Manor, Raritan Township, NJ, where he resided.

Born in Bronx, NY, he had formerly resided in Manhattan,NY and had resided in Hunterdon County three years.

He was a graduate of City College of New York with a degree in Civil Engineering and was employed as a civil engineer for twenty-seven years by the Arabian-American Oil Company (Aramco) until retiring.

Salvatore was a captain in the US Army Corps of Engineers and a veteran of World War 2.

He was an avid dancer and was a man who appreciated a good sense of humor as much as he did good food. Most of all, he loved his family.

His wife, Marcella Schroeder Tuccillo, died in 2011.

Surviving are his two daughters, Tanya Tuccillo of Stockton, NJ and Diane De Rosa of New York City; his two grandchildren, Max and Avery Gebhardt; his brother, John Tuccillo of Long Island, NY; and his caring son-in-law, Evans Gebhardt. While not relatives, but still family, he is survived by loving companion and partner in crime, Andrea Morris, and his faithful and affectionate kitty, Misty.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 16, 2014, at 3:00 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
