Sandra Aline Runkle

Sandra Aline Runkle, 69, of Flemington, NJ passed away at her home on Monday, August 31, 2020, from a brief illness. Born in Doylestown, PA and raised in Mt. Airy, West Amwell Township, Sandie graduated from South Hunterdon Regional High School in 1969 and from Rider College in 1973. She went on to have a long career as a legal assistant for several Flemington law firms (Herr & Fisher and Dilts and Pursel) and for over 20 years for the NJ Judiciary in Flemington, Belvidere, and Somerville. Predeceased by her mother, Hazel Williamson Runkle and father, Raymond Chamberlain Runkle, Sandie is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Barry and Cathy Runkle, and Bruce and Christina Runkle all of West Amwell Twp., NJ; two nieces, Gwen McNamara and Kerry Runkle, two nephews, Nathan Runkle and Kyle Runkle, and one great nephew, Brendan McNamara and one great niece, Madeline McNamara. Sandie liked to travel, especially to spend time on the beach in Florida. She was an avid reader and a skilled baker. She enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends. She was a dedicated daughter to her parents and a caring and generous sister and aunt to her nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed. A public Memorial Service will be announced in the future. Private family services and interment were held under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
