Sandra J. Damon

Sandra J. Damon, age 59 years, of Raritan Township, NJ passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, December 18, 2022, at Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, in Philadelphia, PA.

Born in Chester, PA, July 20, 1963, Sandy was the daughter of the late Robert and Jane (Ignatowicz) Herman. She grew up in Old Bridge, NJ and had previously resided in Boothwyn, PA, and later resided in Cream Ridge, NJ and Millstone, NJ before moving to Hunterdon County, NJ some fifteen years ago.

Highly educated, Sandy received degrees from both Kean University and Rutgers University. She was a Registered Nurse (BSN/RN) and most recently worked for Spectrix Analytical Services, LLC as a Biochemist at Bristol Myers Squibb, Lawrenceville, NJ.

Sandy enjoyed being outdoors. She loved skiing, horseback riding and scuba diving. She also enjoyed being crafty and loved animals of all kinds, especially horses. In fact, she had three horses of her own. She absolutely loved spending time with her family, especially her children and attending all their activities and sports events. Above all, her family remembers her as a sweet, kind, loving person, who made people feel special. She was “an angel on earth .”

She is survived by her husband of sixteen years, David R. Damon, of Raritan Township, NJ; five children, Jon Damon, of Lawrence Township, NJ, Matthew, Connor, Emily, and Sara Damon, all at home, her siblings, Robert Herman of Raritan Township, NJ, Cynthia Pariso (& Mike) of Old Bridge, NJ, and Lori Streeter (& Blake) of Oxford, MI; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will take place on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, from 4-6 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Funeral services, officiated by Pastor Chris Schneider, will take place the following day, Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at 11 AM in the funeral home. Burial will be in Cherryville Mountainview Cemetery, Cherryville, NJ.
