Sandra L. Trstensky

August 28, 1973 — August 19, 2019

Sandra L. Trstensky, age 45, died peacefully Monday, August 19, 2019 under the care of St. Luke’s Hospice in Bethlehem PA after a battle with ovarian cancer.

Born August 28, 1973 in Raritan Township NJ, Sandy was the daughter of Michael and Linda (Verse) McCusker of Flemington NJ. She lived in Hunterdon County until moving to Easton PA in 2002. Sandy was a graduate of Hunterdon Central Regional High School and from Northampton Community College Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Accounting.

Sandy worked in many roles in the Bookkeeping Department of Keller-Williams Real Estate in Clinton NJ, primarily as a Market Center Accountant for many years. She also was a long-time member and deacon of Old Greenwich Presbyterian Church in Stewartsville.

Sandy had a love for the outdoors and living her life as organically as possible. She cooked with organic ingredients, wore organic clothing and hoped one day to own a horse-farm with her husband, Joe. Sandy was often taking care of many cats and horses throughout her life. One of her favorites was to volunteer at Mylestone Equine Rescue in Phillipsburg NJ.

Some of Sandy’s other interests included singing karaoke, designing the landscaping at her home and spending time at the beach. She was very creative and artistic; sketching characters at a young age and then later, painting with watercolors. She also enjoyed playing her guitar at the Asbury Coffee House, strumming various softrock classics as well.

Sandy is survived by her loving husband, Joseph Trstensky, Jr., of Flemington NJ, her parents, Michael and Linda McCusker of Flemington NJ, her sister and brother-in-law, Heather and James Todd of Washington NJ, her mother-in-law Cathy Trstensky of Stockton NJ, her brother-in-law and sister in-law, Frank and Cindy Trstensky of Stockton NJ, and her nephews Zachary Bishop, Michael Todd, and Hunter Trstensky.

A memorial service will be held at 10 am on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at Old Greenwich Presbyterian Church, 17 Greenwich Church Rd, Stewartsville, NJ 08886. A gathering for food and fellowship will follow at the church. Interment will be private under the direction of Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington NJ.

Donations in Sandy’s memory may be made to Old Greenwich Presbyterian Church, 17 Greenwich Church Rd, Stewartsville, NJ 08886 or to Mylestone Equine Rescue, 227 Still Valley Rd, Phillipsburg, NJ 08865.
