Sara M. Folk

Sara M. Folk, age 103 years, of Kingwood Township, NJ, died on Thursday, December 1, 2016 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ. Born in West Beaver Township, Snyder County, PA, September 21, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Mary McClellan Gentzel. She had formerly resided in Piscataway, NJ, moving to Kingwood Township sixty years ago. Sara was a former seamstress, and for most of her adult life, was active with her late husband, Carl, training beagles. She was the owner of Airco Beagles, and won many national awards for her work. Her husband, Carl N. Folk, died in 1996. Surviving are her daughter, Nancy M. Lilly, of Piscataway, NJ; a son, Dallas N. Folk, of Wayne, ME; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held on Monday, December 5, 2016 at 11:30 AM in Black Oak Ridge Cemetery, West Beaver Township, PA. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2016 from 7-9 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
