Sarah Lounsbery

Sarah Lounsbery, age 94 years, of Newton, NJ, died on Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at House of the Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Hackettstown, NJ.

Born in Clarksburg, WV, September 11, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Clara Walker Born. She had formerly resided in Flemington, NJ, and Tuckerton, NJ.

She was head clerk of the Selective Service Board, Flemington, NJ, for thirty years.

Her husband, J. Hoyt Lounsbery, died in 1974. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, James and Adele Lounsbery of Newton, NJ; six grandchildren, Beth, Bill, James, Patricia, Peter, and Cathy; and ten great-grandchildren, Emma, Sarah, Elizabeth, Jimmy, Billy, Keely, Paige, Amy, Kelly, and Elizabeth.

Garveside Services will be held on Friday at 11:30 AM in the Prospect Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. There will be no calling hours.
