Sarah Elizabeth Fulper, known to her family and friends as “Sally,” age 86, was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at her home in West Amwell Township surrounded by her family.
Born July 14, 1932, on the family farm in Belle Mead NJ, Sally was the daughter of the late Gilbert Irving and Sarah Elizabeth (Brokaw) Runyon. After graduating as a registered nurse, she began her professional career at the Hunterdon Medical Center. Shortly after, she met and married her husband of 64 years, Bob Fulper, a dairy farmer. They were partners in raising their four children and working side by side on the Fulper farm in West Amwell.
Sally was always serving others – as a nurse she cared for her patients as though they were her own family; at Kirkpatrick Memorial Church, she was a Deacon and belonged to several Bible study groups throughout the years.
Sally and Bob loved to dance and sing and cherished their many years of marriage. Sally was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend – her warm smile and blessed heart will be missed by so many.
In addition to her parents, Sally was predeceased by her sisters, Virginia Thomas, Barbara Quick, Alberta Beckstead and Nancy Bahrenberg, as well as her brother, Herbert Runyon. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert J. Fulper; her daughters, Cynthia McKenna (Kevin) of Rochester MI, and Sarah Prall (John) of Lansdale PA, her sons, Robert Fulper II (Cindi) of West Amwell, and Frederick Fulper (Kim) of Ringoes NJ; and her sister, Joyce Curry of Las Cruces NM.
