Born in West Virginia on April 12, 1872, she was the daughter of the late James Knotts and Sarah Hollis.

She was predeceased by her husband, Rudolph Burkhalter, Sr.

Interment in Ewing Church Cemetery, 100 Scotch Rd, Ewing Township, NJ.
