Selma Lopshire, a.k.a. Selma Birnbaum, age 76 years, of Union Township, Hunterdon County, NJ died on Sunday, October 21, 2007 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in the Bronx, NY, October 1, 1931, daughter of the late Morris and Mary Salkin Stefel, she had resided in Union Township for the past five years, having previously lived in Gainesville, FL, Ringoes, NJ and Flemington, NJ.
She was a 1949 graduate of Flemington High School. Being a homemaker and providing a loving, caring home to her family, was her proudest accomplishment. "Everyone loved Selma." She was a mother to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Robert Lopshire.
Surviving are three daughters, Sandee Williams of Miami, FL, Debbie Oliver of Canadensis, PA and Wendy Brummond of St. Louis, MO; two step-sons, Martin Lopshire of Sarasota, FL and Howard Lopshire of Stanton, NJ; two step-daughters, Terry Tigue of Coatesville, PA and Vicki Sillman of Graham, NC; ten grandchildren; former husband, Herman Birnbaum of PA and FL; and her best friend, Isabel Benjamin of Raritan Township, NJ.
