Sharon Ann Stroka

Sharon Ann Stroka, 70 years old, of Flemington NJ passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on August 26, 2019. Daughter of the late John Francis and Antoinette (Johansen) Wilson, Sharon was born in Jersey City, NJ on July 17, 1949 and raised in Bridgewater, NJ.

Married to Robert Stroka Sr. for 47 years, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, and raised four children that adored her. Sharon later worked twenty-five years for Hunterdon County Hall of Records.

Sharon’s joys in life were the beach, music and dancing but her grandchildren Hannah, Hanley and Shelby were her sunshine as she always liked to say. In her past, she was an avid gardener and loved her flowers. Sharon always cared about others more than herself and her smile was infectious.

Sharon was preceded in death by her father John, her mother Antoinette, brother Jack, sisters Patricia and Gail. She is survived by her husband Robert Stroka Sr., her children Robert Stroka Jr. (Jennifer Stroka), Daniel Stroka (Tyler Stroka), Christopher Stroka (Lauren Stroka), Jennifer Lessack (Seth Lessack), her two sisters Audrey Sampson and Cathy Moretti, her brother Bill Wilson, as well as her three grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Friday, August 30, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 105 Summer Road, Three Bridges NJ. Interment will follow at a later date in St. Bernards Cemetery in Bridgewater. Calling hours will be Thursday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 pm and on Friday morning from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington NJ.
