Sheila A. Griffin

Sheila A. Griffin, age 66 years, of Bethlehem, PA, died on Saturday, August 15, 2009 in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Freeport, NY, November 19, 1942, daughter of the late Frank and Alice Clyde Cahalan, she had formerly resided in High Bridge, NJ and Raritan Township, NJ.

She was a retired Hair Stylist, employed in several Beauty Salons in the Flemington, NJ area.

A communicant of St. Magdalen Church, Flemington, NJ, Mrs. Griffin was also a member of the Flemington Elks Lodge Ladies Auxiliary, Flemington, NJ.

A sister, Virginia Martine, died in 1995.

Surviving are her husband of thirty-seven years, John H. Griffin; a daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Butch Sampson of Ringoes, NJ; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Carol Griffin of Raritan Township, NJ and Mark and Tracy Wright of Delaware Township, NJ; three brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Maryann Cahalan of Allentown, PA, Frank and Tina Cahalan of Morristown, NJ and Kevin and Pam Cahalan of Flemington, NJ; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Carole and Jim Kenny of Colonia, NJ and Helen and Sal Lentine of Raritan Township, NJ; and five grandchildren, Gregory Sampson, Zachery Sampson, Mackenzie Wright, Carter Wright and Brett Allen.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Entombment will follow in St. Magdalen Mausoleum, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
