Sheldon P. Hoffman, Jr.

Sheldon P. “Bub” Hoffman, Jr., age 75 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ. Born in Somerville, NJ, September 7, 1939, he was the son of the late Sheldon and Jennie Pedrick Hoffman. He was a lifelong resident of the Flemington area. He was the owner/operator of a fencing company before retiring. Sheldon served in the United States Navy. Bub was a volunteer firefighter with the Flemington Fire Department Steamer Company No. 1 since 1965, serving as Chief of the Department from 1981-1983. He was a member of the Exempt Fireman’s Association, and served as the Secretary for the Relief Association for over twenty years. Surviving are his three sons, Robert, Glen, and Craig Hoffman; a sister, Judith Anderson, and nine grandchildren. A Memorial Service with Fire Department services will be held on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 2 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ, followed by last call and interment in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ.
