Sherri P. LaRue, age 54 years, of Flemington, NJ, died on Monday, February 21, 2011 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, February 9, 1957, daughter of the late Edwin and Anita Segal Robin, she had resided in Flemington for the past three years, having formerly lived many years in Willow Grove, PA.
Sherri received her BA from Temple University, her MA from Cheyney University and did PhD work at Harvard University. She was a longtime elementary education teacher for the City of Philadelphia.
A proud sponsor of P.I.B. Motorsports, Sherri also was the owner and operator of Sherri & Co., a specialty home-made food company.
Surviving are her husband of two years, John LaRue; a son, Randy Kolsky of Willow Grove, PA; two daughters, Stephanie Kolsky of Bensalem, PA and Amy Kolsky of Morrisville, PA; two step-sons, Fred Gilbert of Clinton, NJ and Billy LaRue of Flemington, NJ; a step-daughter, Jackie LaRue of Stewartsville, NJ; two sisters, Judy Auspitz and Ellen Stout; and seven grandchildren.
Memorial Services will take place Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Saturday from 9:00-11:00 a.m. in the Funeral Home.
