Shirley Christensen

Shirley Christensen, age 84 years, of Union Township, Hunterdon County, NJ, died on Wednesdsay, August 6, 2014 at her home.

Born in Hackensack, NJ, June 19, 1930, daughter of the late Howard and Elizabeth Hanley Heldman, Shirley grew up in Tenafly, NJ and resided in Fair Lawn, NJ for over forty years prior to moving to Union Township twelve years ago.

A homemaker, she was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Ann as well as a brother, Howard.

Surviving are her husband of fifty-seven years, Willy Christensen; two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Michael Kubas of Annandale, NJ and Deborah and Jimmy Hiller of Newton, NJ; a sister, Janet Hess; and three grandchildren, Michelle and William Kubas and Kristen Hiller.

Graveside services under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2014 in George Washington Memorial Park, 234 Paramus Road, Paramus, NJ 07652, Telephone: (201) 652-4300. Everyone is kindly asked to meet at the cemetery office at 10:45 a.m.
