Shirley H. Temperley, age 82 years, of Flemington, NJ, died on Wednesday, November 23, 2005 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Brainards, NJ, December 31, 1922, daughter of the late Luther and Amanda Sutton Hoff, she had resided in Flemington since 1946 and had formerly resided in Washington, NJ.
She was formerly employed by A. M. Best Co., Oldwick, NJ until retiring in 1987.
Mrs. Temperley was a member of the Flemington United Methodist Church and the Flemington Woman's Club. Additionally, she was a poll worker for the Hunterdon County Board of Elections for several years and was a former volunteer with the Flemington Area Food Pantry and Meals on Wheels.
Her husband, Charles P. Temperley, died in 2001.
Surviving are a son, David Temperley of Flemington, NJ; a daughter and son-in-law, Carrie Temperley and Joseph Beke of Hamilton, NJ; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gene G. and Pat Hoff of West Henrietta, NY and Harold L. and Elizabeth Hoff of North Myrtle Beach, SC; and a grandson, Paul Hutchins of Flemington, NJ.
