Shirley M. Stambaugh, age 66 years, of Pohatcong Township, NJ, died Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at her home. Born in Rahway, NJ, July 24, 1948, daughter of the late Richard and Claire Marie Young Sanford, she had formerly resided in Rahway, NJ and Kingwood Township, NJ. Shirley was a supervisor at Hunterdon Developmental Center, Clinton, NJ, until retiring. Surviving are four sons, Robert Brogan of Holland Township, NJ, Donald Stambaugh, Jr. of East Bangor, PA, Andrew Stambaugh of Hillsborough, NJ and Thomas Stambaugh of Celina, OH.; two daughters, Amy Stambaugh of Minster, OH. and Kate Corby of Stewartsville, NJ; three brothers Richard Sanford of New Hampshire, Charles Sanford of Pennsylvania, and Joseph Sanford of Maine; a sister, Nancy Price of Maine; and thirteen grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at 12 Noon in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Capner Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Sunday from 10:00 AM until time of service.
