Sid Greenberg, age 87 years, of Erwinna, PA, died on June 26, 2007, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in the Bronx, NY, September 6, 1919, he was the son of the late Samuel and Minnie Nelson Greenberg. He had resided in Paramus, NJ, Erwinna, PA from 1984-1997, then Pembroke Pines, FL, then back to Erwinna, PA several months ago.
Mr. Greenberg owned and operated Nelson's Restaurant, Washington Heights, NY, in the area of Columbia Presbyterian Hospital.
Mr. Greenberg was a United States Navy veteran of World War II, where he was trained as a welder, and later worked in the shipyards.
Mr. Greenberg enjoyed gardening, his family's pets, and the beautiful scenery of Buck County, PA.
Surviving are his loving wife of sixty-seven years, Marian Arrs Greenberg, who grew up in Erwinna, PA; his devoted children; daughter, Elise Pear of Erwinna, PA, son, Robert Greenberg of Pembroke Pines, FL; and daughter, Laura Krein and son-in-law Jeffrey Krein, of Upper Black Eddy, PA; a granddaughter, Deborah Ellis Stroman of Southampton, PA; three great-grandchildren, Rachel Ellis, Jordan Ellis, and Jessica Korins; a brother, Jerry Greenberg of West Palm Beach, FL; and a sister, Joyce Benjamin in Israel.
Funeral services and interment will be private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. There will be no calling hours.
