Sidney Hirschorn, age 81 years, of Hillsborough Township, NJ, died on Wednesday, September 14, 2005, in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, July 23, 1924, he was the son of the late Abraham and Lillian Greenspan Hirschorn.
He was the owner and operator of N.J. Sound Service, Flemington, NJ, retiring in 1988.
He was a United States Army veteran of World War II, serving in Normandy, the Ardennes, Rhineland, Northern France, and Central Europe. He was a member of the Jewish War Veterans in Flemington, NJ, and Delray Beach, FL. He was a member of the 90th Division Association, and the Knights of Pythias, Trenton, NJ.
Surviving are his wife of fifty-six years, Adele Zegman Hirschorn; two daughters, Cheryl Fienberg of Lawrence, NY, and Terry Hirschorn of Cherry Hill, NJ; a son, Martin Hirschorn of Flemington, NJ; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Flemington Jewish Community Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. There will be no calling hours.
