Sofia Theoharis

Sofia Theoharis, age 85 years, of Flemington, NJ, died on July 3, 2003 at her residence in Flemington Borough, NJ. Born in Samos, Greece on August 29, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Emmanuel Tsoupanaria and Marigo (Pandelidou) Tsoupanaria. She was a homemaker and worked for the Bemis Bag Company in Flemington, NJ. Her husband, Athanasios Theoharis, died in 1998. Interment in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ.

Sofia Theoharis, 85, of Flemington Borough died Thursday, July 3, 2003, at home. She was born in Samos Greece, Aug. 29, 1917, daughter of the late Emmanuel and Marigo Pandelidou Tsoupanaria. She lived in Canada for 10 years before moving to Flemington in 1968.

She was a homemaker and was also employed by Bemis Bag Co. in Flemington from 1970-74.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Westfield.

Her husband, Athanasios Theoharis, died in 1998. Surviving are two daughters, Mary Paliatsos and Mimitsa Balios and her husband, John Balios, all of Flemington; a brother, John Tsoupanaria and four sisters, Argyro Tsoupanaria, Niki Andoniou, Katina Adreomenou and Helen Sakla, all in Canada; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were by Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home in Flemington.
