Soon Bong Kim

Soon Bong Kim, age 100, died Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Country Arch Care Center in Pittstown NJ.

Born February 18, 1922, in Hamhung Korea, Soon Bong was the son of the late Chang Yun and Jung Soon Kim.

He came to the United States more than 50 years ago and was a mechanic and an auto parts business owner for many years.

His wife, Woon Joon Kim, died in 2021.

He is survived by his three children, Peter Kim of Germantown MD, Sunnie Chung of Fort Lee NJ, and Justin Kim of Germantown MD, and nine grandchildren, David and Isabella Kim, Jonathan and Areum Chung, Kristine and Allen Sarmiento, Michael and Laney Chung and Steven Chung.

Cremation services will be private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.

Memorial services are being planned for Monday, February 6, 2023 in Edison NJ.
