Stanley Dribbon, age 81 years, of Somerset, NJ, died Tuesday, July 23, 2012, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, August 17, 1931, son of the late Ellis and Estelle Tobin Dribbon, he had formerly resided in Brooklyn, NY, then in Edison, NJ and had resided in Somerset,NJ, for ten years.
An educator, he was a teacher and then a principal in the New York City School System, Staten Island, NY, until retiring.
He received his BA and MA degrees from Brooklyn College.
A United States Army veteran of the Korean War, he served in Germany in the Army of Occupation and was a member of the Canal Walk Veterans Club.
Surviving are his wife of sixty years, Jane Fischer Dribbon; two sons, Robert Dribbon and Steven Dribbon, both of Flemington, NJ; a daughter, Nancy Goldberg of Edison, NJ; a brother, Roy Dribbon of Lakeland, FL; and seven grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at 1:00PM in the Flemington Jewish Community Cemetery, Capner Street, Flemington, NJ. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
