Stanley Rosenberg, age 90 years, of West Milford, NJ and formerly of Flemington, NJ died on Thursday, April 23, 2020 at Milford Manor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, West Milford Township, NJ.
Born in Brooklyn, NY on July 13, 1929, he was the son of the late Sam Rosenberg and Rose (Sklar) Rosenberg.
Mr. Rosenberg served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1951-1953 and then the United States Army Reserves from 1953 until he was honorably discharged in 1957.
Stanley then worked for many years as a salesman at the Flemington Fur Company here in Flemington, NJ and could always be seen around Flemington.
Along with his parents, he was predeceased of by his late wife, Adele Rosenberg, who died in 2000 as well as his brother Jack Rosenberg and his sister, Zena Schuster. Surviving are his three daughters: Hilary and her husband Jeffrey Advokat, of Denville, NJ, Cindy and her husband Paul Shapiro, of Wilmington, NC, and Paula and her husband Joseph Whelan of West Milford, NJ. Additionally, he is survived by his seven grandchildren: Olivia, Camryn, and Andrew Whelan; Harry and Jordan Shapiro; and Hayley and Ruthie Advokat.
Private graveside services officiated by Rabbi Eric Cohen will take place at the Flemington Jewish Community Cemetery, Capner Street, Flemington, NJ. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
