Stella J. Barch, age 79 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Thursday, September 25, 2008 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Bound Brook, NJ, January 26, 1929, daughter of the late Stanley and Anna Nizalack Barch, she had resided in Raritan Township for the past twenty-five years, having previously lived in Yardville, NJ.
She was formerly a Secretary for thirty-two years with the United States Army, working for many years at Camp Kilmer. She later went on to work for Yale Industries, Raritan Township, NJ for ten years.
She was pre-deceased by three brothers, Joseph, Casimir and Walter Barch; two sisters, Helen Prytula and Virginia Hivko; and by her niece, Barbara Keeth of Neshanic, NJ.
Surviving are her husband of thirty-eight years, Richard Steger; four nieces, Sheila Pervy of Holland Township, NJ, Jean Hivko of Plainfield, NJ, Linda Barch of New Jersey and Nancy Barch Kerrick of Arizone; three nephews, Michael Prytula of Elizabethtown, NC, Walter Barch of Middlesex, NJ and Joseph Barch of Pennsylvania; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
