A beloved man has left us, and we mourn, for our loss as much as his. Stephen C. Foster, age 48, of Raritan Township, NJ, passed away Friday, September 9, 2016. Steve was as fierce as he was gentle and as forthright as he was tactful. Standing 6 feet tall, we all literally and metaphorically looked up to Steve.
Born in Swansea, Wales, November 27, 1967, Steve was a dedicated father, husband, son, brother, coach, mentor, and friend. Steve had a long love affair with sushi, Balvenie, Welsh Rugby, UFC fights, and Swansea City soccer team, watching matches at all hours to cheer his favorite teams on.
Steve was the Director of Systems Development for John Wiley and Sons Publishing Company, based in Hoboken, NJ, where he worked for 27 years.
Steve was the son of the late Leighton Foster. He is survived by his mother Margaret, his wife of 19 years, Urmi, his two children, Dylan and Maya, his brother Jason, sister-in-law Hazel, his twin nieces Jasmine and Ffion, his mother-in-law Nimu Kapadia, father-in-law Jaysinh Kapadia, brother-in-law, Amar Kapadia, his cockapoo Coco, and countless family and friends from both sides of the Atlantic.
Interment will be private. Funeral Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 9:00-11:00 a.m in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates donations made out to the ‘Hunterdon Outreach Program’ where Dylan works with special needs children. To donate, please visit http://hunterdonoutreach.org .
