Steve Racioppo, a resident of Pittstown, NJ, died on May 29, 2015. He was 62 years old. Born in Brooklyn, NY, November 30, 1952, he was the son of the late Leonard and Vincenza Bozzolo Racioppo.
Steve was raised in Brooklyn and Staten Island. He was an honor student and attended Regis and Curtis H.S. and received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Masters of Engineering in Management Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Steve is survived by his wife Lori, his daughters Julie, Jenna, and Jodie, his grand-daughter Tully, his four brothers Paul, David, Thomas, and Robert, their wives and children, his Aunt Anna, cousins, and many friends.
Steve enjoyed a very diversified and full life. His passions included horses, travel, theatre, opera, fine cuisine and just good friends. Steve was a results-driven senior executive with 40 years of global experience, including a 35-year career with Accenture, where he led the consulting, technology, and outsourcing business for Financial Services industries across North America and Asia Pacific. As a talented leader and problem solver, he led major transformation and change management programs for banks and capital markets companies in NY, London, Tokyo, Paris, Milan and Frankfurt. More recently, Steve served in CxO positions with companies such as HCL Technologies, LiquidHub, Broadridge, and TLO, building business relationships in over 45 countries.
Steve has written and lectured throughout the world on strategic alliances, globalization, multi-sourcing, governance and IT transformation. He co-authored a chapter on management governance in a book called “Mastering Alliance Strategy” by James Bramford et al. He was once cited by Fortune as one of the "leaders of tomorrow,” and frequently quoted in The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Institutional Investor, Fortune, Global Finance, Euromoney, Global Custodian, and Global Investment Technology; and interviewed on television on CNBC. Steve has served on a wide number of civic boards, related to children with learning differences and opera, and was an amateur equestrian show jumper.
Steve will be missed dearly by all who were fortunate to know and share life with him.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 19, 2015 at 10 AM in St. Catherine of Siena Parish Center, 147 Perryville Road, Hampton, NJ. Interment will be private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
