Stephen Gold

Stephen Gold, age 71 years, of Flemington, NJ, died Saturday, July 30, 2011, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

He was a graduate of Rutgers University and earned his Juris Doctor Degree at Fordham Law School. He was admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court. Retired from full time practice, he continued working for several New Jersey attorneys serving as a arbitrator for several New Jersey counties as well as handling private clients.

He was a former member of the Flemington-Raritan Board of Education, Flemington Lions Club, the Hunterdon YMCA, the Sardi's Irregulars, the Newark Museum, the Museum of Modern Art, The metropolitian Musuem of Art and the Hunterdon County Library. He was a volunteer at the Hunterdon County Library book sale and Open House, New York.

He was a generous supporter of GMHC, the Actors Fund and St. Peters Hospital, New Brunswick, NJ. He also formerly served in the New Jersey National Guard.

Beloved survivors are his wife, Ruth; daughter, Reena Kamins (Brian); sons, Noah, Jonas and Daniel (Nay); and most cherished granddaughters Natalie, Hannah, and Sara. He leaves behind a grieving family and many saddened friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 1, 2011 at 12:30 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private. There will be no calling hours.
