Stephen J. Lucas

Stephen J. Lucas, age 68 years, of Delaware Township, NJ, died Thursday, January 25, 2018, at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Somerville, NJ, July 2, 1949, son of the late Stephen and Rita Muller Lucas, he had resided in Hunterdon County most of his life.

Steve was a 1967 graduate of Hunterdon Central High School and served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War from 1968-1970.

He was self-employed and worked in construction.

Surviving are his wife, Cindy Bender; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Justin and Dana Lucas of New Hope, PA. and Wyatt Lucas of Stockton, NJ; a grandson, Noah Lucas of New Hope, PA.; and four sisters, Suzanne Lucas, Dorothy Faherty and Joan Hanson, all of Ringoes, NJ and Patricia Cleary of Ewing, NJ.

Military honors will be held Sunday, January 28, 2018, at 2:30 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home,147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Sunday 1:00-2:30 PM at the funeral home.
