Stephen P. Karpew

Stephen P. Karpew, age 71 years, of Flemington Borough, NJ, died Monday, May 30, 2022, at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born on September 7, 1950, in Staten Island, NY, he was the son of the late Michael and Dorothy (Longo) Karpew.

Stephen worked as a warehouse manager for the Tenneco Chemical Factory, in Flemington, NJ. In addition, he worked at Flemington Department Store, Flemington Car and Truck Company and owned the Stewarts Root Beer of Washington Township, NJ.

He is pre-deceased by two brothers, Michael Karpew, Jr., in 2009, and Peter Karpew, in 2000.

Surviving are his wife of fifty years, Geraldine Karpew; five children, Robert Karpew and his wife Kristina, of Bloomsbury, NJ, Joseph Karpew and his wife Amanda, of Frenchtown, NJ, Stephen Karpew, Jr. and his wife Quyen, of Flemington, NJ, Brenda Thomas and her husband Bill, of Kingsland, GA, and Charles Karpew and his fiancé Katherine Underhill, of Holland Township, NJ; ten grandchildren, Brandon, Justin, Hannah, Krista, Katelyn, Allyson, Skylar, Wyatt, Sawyer, Avah, and a granddaughter on the way; as well as six great-grandchildren, Jackson, Braydon, Cayden, Aydon, Allontè, and Gracelyn.

There will be a visitation on Monday, June 6, 2022, from 6:00-8:00 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Cremation will be private. Burial in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ will take place in the future at a date and time to be determined.
