Steve Gary Botnovcan, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Saturday, April 24, 2010 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ. He was 68.

Born June 7, 1941 in Gary, IN to Steve and Mildred Botnovcan, he graduated from Horace Mann High School in Gary in 1959. He served in the United States Air Force for four years and was honorably discharged in 1964. He attended Indiana University and graduated with a BA in Business Administration.

A longtime resident of NW Indiana, he relocated to Longwood, FL in 1982 and to Raritan Township, NJ in 1985. He worked for Illinois Bell and then for AT & T for many years before retiring in 1996. He most recently worked at Northlandz in Flemington, NJ.

Steve was an avid photographer and a former member of the Gary Photography Club as well as the Elks. He was very active with the Community Theatre Guild in Valparaiso, IN from 1978-1982. He also enjoyed many years of boating, fishing, computer gaming, doing genealogical research and spending time with his grandkids.

Surviving are two sisters, Mary Botnovcan of Lady Lake, FL and Marjorie Woldt of Schererville IN; three children, Gary Botnovcan of Woburn, MA, Sharon Botnovcan of Manlius, NY and Pamela Behmke of Raritan Township, NJ; and five grandchildren, Hallie Botnovcan, Alex, Maddy and Nicole Howard and Heather Behmke.

The family suggests donations to either the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or to the American Heart Association in lieu of flowers.
