Steven Michael Ivins, age 36 years, of Stockton, NJ, died on Friday, April 3, 2009, of meningitis in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Abington, PA, October 23, 1972, he was the son of Linda Rice Bailey of Newtown, PA, and the late G. Gary Ivins. He had previously resided in Langhorne, PA.
He was a self-employed artisan painter, specializing in historical restoration work in and around the New Hope, PA area. Additionally, he was an avid cyclist, fisherman, and musician. He played regularly in clubs in New Hope, PA.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are a brother, Brian G. Ivins, of Solebury, PA; his step-mother, Victoria Ivins, of Richboro, PA; two half-sisters, Danielle Fishman and Lydia Ivins, and a half-brother, Aaron Ivins, all of Richboro, PA; his grandparents, George and Jeanne Ivins of Holland, PA; and many aunts and uncles.
A Celebration of Life Service was held at the home of his mother. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
