Tadeusz Gasior

Tadeusz Gasior, age 88 Years, of Rritan Township, NJ, died on Tuesday, January 4, 2011, in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township NJ.

Born in Krakow, Poland, June 29, 1922, he had resided in this area since 1949.

He formerly was an elcetrician for thirty years at RCA, Somerville, NJ.

Mr. Gasior fought with the Polish Underground in World War II and spent five years in concentration camps, including Auschwitz.

He enjoyed playing the violin, hiking, and swimming.

Surviving are his wife of sixty-two years, Marion Doerr Gasior; two daughters and sons-in-law, Eva and Kenneth Bernosky of Washington, NJ; Vickie and Michael Smith of Whitehouse Station, NJ; a brother, Witold Gasior of Detroit, MI; a sister, Janina Eby of College Park, MD; a niece, Marion Bottcher and a nephew, William Eby.

Funeral services will be private. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 7-9 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
