Terri R. Stahl of Flemington, NJ passed away unexpectedly at home on April 6, 2023.
Born and raised in Philadelphia on October 6, 1951, she married the love of her life, her late husband, James (Jim) Stahl Sr. on December 18, 1971, and the two spent 42 wonderful years together. They moved to Ringoes, New Jersey in 1983 and raised their family in Hunterdon County.
Terri was the longtime Municipal Clerk for East Amwell Township and actively volunteered for many causes throughout her life. Whether a bake sale, a rabies clinic, or bible camp, you could always count on her to raise her hand to help.
Terri loved her family dearly, and she made extraordinary efforts not to miss any of her grandchildren’s sporting events, competitions, and other activities. She spent her summers at her home on Long Beach Island affectionately referred to by the family as “Grammy’s Beach House." She loved sitting on the beach for hours watching the waves and joined the Brant Beach Yacht Club. She enjoyed live music, particularly the Rolling Stones.
She was the most kind-hearted, giving person anyone could ever meet. Her late husband, Jim, described her as, “The nicest person on the planet.” Even the most innocuous holiday did not pass without a card and some sort of small gift for the kids, which she would dutifully deliver personally. And she loved to cook and bake extraordinary amounts of food for family parties. She spoiled her family on Christmas and birthdays and every day we were graced to be with her.
Terri was predeceased by her husband, Jim , and her parents, Lawrence and Mary Ann (Martin) Fowler, as well as her sister, Mary, her brother, Michael, and brothers-in-law, Donald C. Stahl and John Bell.
She is dearly missed by her family, son and daughter-in-law, James and Monica Stahl of Princeton Junction NJ, two daughters and sons-in-law, Monica and Sean Hoopes of Readington NJ, and Corinne and Joe Ansel of Levittown PA; her beloved grandchildren, Emma and Tyler Stahl, Zachary, Sophie, and Sarah Hoopes, and Daphne and Lydia Ansel; her sister, Rose; sister-in-law, Betty Fowler; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary and Gene Rutter; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. The family is comforted by the fact that she is reunited with her soulmate forever.
