Tessie Rose Carroccio

Tessie Rose Carroccio, age 91 years, of Alexandria Township, NJ, died on Tuesday, November 6, 2012, in the Bridgeway Senior Care Center, Hillsborough, NJ.

Born in New York City, December 9, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Benedetto and Benedetta Mancuso Ciappetta. She had formerly resided in Flemington, NJ from 1971-2009.

She was a homemaker and was also employed for many years by Lipton Tea, Raritan Township, NJ, retiring in 1972. She was an avid Mets fan and member of the Lipton Tea Retirees Club.

Her husband, Joseph Carroccio, died in 1991. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Josephine and Thomas Carr of Flemington, NJ and Bettina and John Huff of Pittstown, NJ; six grandchildren: Beth Ann Bell and her husband Robbie, John Huff, Veronica Carr, Michael Carr and his wife Adrienne, Scott Huff, and Ryan Huff; three great-grandchildren: Braden Bell, Elena Huff, and Cooper Bell; a sister and brother-in-law, Louisa and Charlie Fortunato; and several loving nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 AM in Our Lady of Victories Church, Baptistown, NJ. Entombment will be in Ferncliff Mausoleum, Hartsdale, NY. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
