Thaddeus "Ted" Kania, Jr.

Thaddeus "Ted" Kania, Jr., age 73 years, of Somerville, NJ, died Tuesday, October 27, 2015, at RWJ Somerset Hospital, Somerville, NJ.

Born in Somerville, NJ, December 7, 1941, son of the late Thaddeus and Blanche Sdebel Kania, he had formerly resided in North Branch, NJ and had resided in Somerville twenty-five years.

A lifelong construction worker, he was a member of Labor Union Local #3, Somerville, NJ.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Janet Kania of Kingwood Township, NJ; a daughter and her fiancé, Christine Kania and Paul Brinkmann of Frenchtown, NJ; his loving girlfriend and companion, Phyllis Zeban, and her children, Jimmy and Beatriz Zeban and Stephen and Linda Zeban; and six grandchildren, Sarah Kania, Morgan Kania, Taylor Zeban, Katelyn Zeban, Gia Zeban and Kate Zeban.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 31, 2015, a 11:30 AM in South Branch Cemetery, 890 River Road, South Branch, NJ. Calling hours will be Friday 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
