Thaddeus W. Kania, Sr.

Thaddeus W. Kania, Sr., age 87 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Tuesday, July 26, 2005 at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in New York City, NY, September 22, 1917, son of the late Stanley and Anna Kruk Kania, he had resided in Raritan Township for the past forty years, having previously lived in Whitehouse Station, NJ and North Branch, NJ.

A Union Carpenter for over forty years, he was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners, Somerville, NJ, retiring in 1977.

He was an avid trapshooter and was a member of several gun clubs.

Surviving are his wife, Stella Delikat Kania; a son, Thaddues W. Kania, Jr. of Neshanic, NJ; two sisters, Sophia Dragan of Whitehouse Station, NJ and Veronica Post of Appleton, Wis.; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Bridgewater, NJ.
